Phone Calls During Normal Business Hours
During normal business hours (8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.) your call will be answered by an "automatic attendant" and directed to the appropriate personnel to deal with your questions or problems.
As directed by the message, you may hold to speak directly to our receptionist, or may press 1 to enter the automated options. The options are:
1 Prescriptions - Renewals or medicine changes
2 Nurse - Problems, test results
3 Receptionist - Appointments
4 Clinical Research
5 Billing Department - Billing, insurance questions
If you continue holding, our receptionist will answer and direct your call. If our staff cannot answer your questions, and you wish to speak to a physician, your message will be forwarded to your physician's desk. Since your physician will not have office hours every day, he or she will call you back the next time that they are in the office. If you can't wait, please be specific so that your message can be returned promptly.
Phone Calls After Normal Business Hours
After normal business hours and on weekends, all emergencies are relayed by our phone system to the on-call doctor. If, in an emergency, you are waiting for a return call and have not received one in 15 minutes, please recall the office number and notify the answering service that you have not yet received a return call from the doctor.
In the event of a life-threatening emergency, call your ambulance company and request transport to Grand View Hospital. Upon arrival in the Emergency Room, an Emergency Room Physician will attend to you. Please notify the staff that you are a patient of Buxmont Cardiology Associates or mention your individual doctor's name.
